Hobbes Honeys FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) It kind of started with this post: Date: 9/17/2000 From: Keeper of PBV Greetings I-Man Fanatics! Paul Ben-Victor wanted me to pass on a message to all of you. I'm sure you're wondering why he doesn't post his own messages, right? Well the simple truth is that while he does have a computer, he doesn't have time to work it!! I've been relaying as many of the posts as I can to him and he is overwhelmed with your support. I cannot begin to tell you how much it means to him! Those of you know me from my eGroups list, Hobbes-TheVisibleMan, already know that he is a friend of mine. PBV called me twice on Fri. just before a looping session and again while he was on his way to the set. I told him I would post this before the show aired, but my computer shut me down several times (aarrgghh!) He wanted to make sure everyone saw Cat & Mouse, because he really liked that ep. His karate kicks, the cool scene at the bar & the final scene with the Keeper. (Isn't Pauly amazingly cute?!!!) He loves working with Vincent and the rest of the cast. Pauly said that someone from the cast who reads the Bboard (not Mike, hi Mike!) told him that there was a post that said something about Hobbes Honeys. Anyone know anything about this? I'd like to send him that post. I did read the post from The_Maltese_Hobbes about the HAS, Hobbes Appreciation Society, (count me in, Maltese!). But Pauly REALLY got a kick out of Hobbes Honeys, so if it doesn't exist I think we should start it, don't you? Anybody? He is such a cute, sexy guy and he deserves his Honeys! She is a dear Honey of ours and has her own egroup for Paul as mentioned in the post to the SciFi bboard. Alot of our Honeys, as well as myself, are members of her group also. Suzi has been good friends with Paul for many years. Check out egroup: Hobbes-TheVisibleMan for yourself. ****Who is the list owner? My name is Lisa and I go by Smartypants on the Sci Fi bboard. Lori, aka Hobbes-aholic, and I were already fellow Hobbes Honeys and made a pact for her to be web mistress of the Honey web site, and I to be the list owner of the Hobbes Honeys, after Carrie, still our #1 Honey, had to step down due to time constraints and a hectic schedule. It takes two of us to do what she was trying to do all on her own! ****What about the Honey’s numbers? It started with the original owner, Carrie letting each Honey pick her own number that was her favorite or meant something to her. This has a lot of skipping around as far as the numbers are concerned, but I think its very interesting to know why each Honey picked the number she did. ****How can I pick a number? Just email me at: Lisa_Smartypants@hotmail.com and let me know what number you would like or I can tell you what numbers are currently taken. Hopefully the number is available or we can come up with a number you like. If you don’t want a number that is fine too. ****Where is the Honeys web site? You can find the Honeys website at: http://hobbesHoneys.net. It may still be mostly under construction , but she is working on it! This site is basically just for “The Invisible Man “ character, Robert “Bobby” Hobbes. Our dear web mistress Lori has a Paul Ben-Victor site of her very own that is wonderful! It has lots of great pics and links to interviews, a real treasure to find for a fan of Paul’s. Her site is at: Paul Ben-Victor Online ****What is fan fic? Fan fic is a short term for Fan Fiction which is generally written by a fan of the show centering around the characters in the show. Since we do have members of various ages, some very young, do not use the Honeys site to post stories that are considered slash, highly violent or sexual, other wise, we gladly would like some Hobbes centered fan fic. ****What is the Con? The Con is usually referring to the Comic Con held in San Diego, California. There is one in New York as well. The cast of The Invisible Man attended the ComicCon in San Diego last year and if all goes well will attend this coming year. For more info regarding the Con try: www.Comic-Con.org. Many of the Imaniacs are planning on attending the Con next year. ****Who are the Imaniacs? The Imaniacs is an online Invisible Man fan group. Its made up of people who post the Sci Fi Invisible Man bboard. R2, Stacey Meyer, is the first President the Imaniacs. The world-wide fan group is growing rapidly. To join, visit: I-Maniacs Online. Even if you don’t want to join, this site will entertain you for hours with Invisible Man related links, etc. ****What is the scrapbook? The scrapbook I refer to is a compilation of responses from each Honey to a series of 5 questions. These questions were basic as to whom they were, what they did for a living, etc. as well as questions about their favorite Hobbes moment, line or scene in an eppy. I took each Honey’s answer and printed them out on stationary and organized them into a scrapbook to send to Paul Ben-Victor. Being the end of the year AND the end of shooting for the series this year, it may be quite a while before we hear anything back. There are 3 files to see an example of what it looked like. The pics are grainy however, the originals looked much better! Thanks Lisa!
